Ford Blubay is getting closer to opening its fifth location – a new chapter in its long history.
A story that starts from far away, from the beautiful Tuscan coasts to embrace the hinterland with its colour: blue!
Lucca, which contains an ancient history within its walls, has opened the doors to the new structure which will be a place of innovation and representation of a real “future”. “We conceived this space – say the company – not as a dealership, and therefore a place dedicated only to the sale of cars, but where the customer becomes a guest and shares the very soul of the office and the city that hosts us”.
The purpose of this structure is to make our guests feel “at home”, but how is it possible to create this atmosphere? Thanks to the architecture of the new facility itself: the exterior recalls the walls of Lucca, the raised garden and the presence of an holm oak on the top of the structure to recall the iconic Guinigi Tower.
The new Blubay headquarters was designed and built by embracing sustainable systems, respecting the environment and using only renewable resources, preserving water, significantly reducing the production of fine dust and using cutting-edge techniques that allow us to have better thermal insulation of the walls and a 50% decrease in solar radiation thanks to the shadow produced by the irregular texture of the finish of the facade itself.
All this allows for the reduction of waste and the creation of internal comfort at the same time.
“Our project promotes the use of photovoltaics as the main system to acquire electricity of approximately 50 kWh, allowing our new structure to be self-powered – continues the company – But that’s not all, on the roof of our futuristic structure, we have 600 square meters of elevated garden which will provide the backdrop for outdoor events for our guestssignificantly improving the quality of the air and reducing the consumption of classic air conditioning systems”.
It is an unprecedented structure in all respects with the desire to bring the history of Blubay within the walls and history of Lucca with the ambition of creating something absolutely innovative.
