FANO Two yachts arrived one after the other at the port of Fano yesterday afternoon. Both hulls came from shipyards in the industrial area of Bellocchi and their passage created traffic slowdowns, as was predictable from the timetable and despite the fact that both shells were smaller in size than the two giants of over 40 meters that passed through the streets of Fano last March.

No blackouts at night

The local police also had their work cut out for them and had to resort to the forced removal of a car, parked where it represented an obstacle. Once again the topic of timetables for the transport of maxi yachts is back in vogue: yesterday there was a trace of it in the chats of motorists annoyed by waiting in queues.

Transits in the small hours would be preferable, when there is no traffic, but at night Enel does not contemplate (with very rare exceptions) power outages, which are essential to open the way to the sea for large boats.

Difficulty at the Sferisterio

Difficulties reported in front of the Sferisterio car park and at the turn between via Cavallotti and viale Battisti: due to its slopes it is one of the most critical points, so much so that the drivers of the maxi-transports are forced to use all their skill to overcome the obstacle . The first to pass was an Azimut hull, an Az66 model about twenty meters long and about 6 meters high.

Power disconnection scheduled for 3.30pm along the Flaminia road, near the fire brigade roundabout, to avoid possible and dangerous interference, where the large nautical shells almost touch the high voltage wires. The second maxi-transport is larger: a Squalo 100 model boat by Alpha Yacht, set up in the Adriatica Nautica shipyard. Approximately 33 meters long and just under 8 meters wide, the hull is over 9 meters high including the undercarriage.

One car removed

And if the first yacht arrived in port without finding any particular obstacles in its way, the same did not happen for the second, more voluminous one. In fact, the local police had to track down the owners of some vehicles, which had been parked on the sides of the route from the shipyards to the sea, where they were equally cluttered in front of the maxi-transport.

In one case, however, it was necessary to resort to forced removal. The hull of approximately 20 meters was transported by Service 4, the one of over 30 meters by the Sorcinelli company. They arrived in port at 4pm and 6.30pm respectively.
