National castle days, jazz in Castropignano and other events

It is one of the most anticipated events within the National Castle Days, in Molise, between Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May, organized for the twenty-fifth time by the Italian Castle Institute of which this year marks the 60th anniversary of its foundation. It is the jazz concert that will be held in one of the rooms of the Evoli castle in Castropignano, with the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the Molise Region, the proloco, the Municipality and the Perosi Conservatory of Campobasso.

The non-profit association that promotes the Italian castle heritage, the historical, archaeological and artistic studies of fortified buildings therefore also focuses on music, in the specific case in Molise that of the trio composed of Ada Montellanico (vocals), Enrico Zanisi (piano) and Marco Loddo (bass). They will perform in one of the recently restored rooms of the ancient fortress which dominates the Biferno valley and overlooks the Castel di Sangro-Lucera sheep track.

The castle of Castropignano is one of the examples of recovery of ruined manors, in which the degradation has been stopped. A particularly fascinating monument rich in history. The appointment is for 6pm on Saturday 11th.

The National Castle Days, which take place simultaneously throughout Italy, involve other towns in Molise with their fortified structures. They are Colletorto, Riccia, Macchiagodena, Pescolanciano and Montorio nei Frentani. Various initiatives are planned for the use of the historical heritage. Program on the posters.
