An association with agricultural companies – Pescara

CITY OF SANT’ANGELO. Bringing clarity to all the dynamics in which agricultural companies are protagonists to encourage the resulting economy and give value to local products. With this aim, from the determination of an operator from Città Sant’Angelo, Ernesto De Leonibus, “In Agris” was born, a national, apolitical association that brings together the many local realities that have also arisen in recent months in different areas of Italy, with the aim of giving a voice to the farmers and breeders who in the latest events and battles carried out on the streets with tractors did not feel represented by the large confederations. De Leonibus, elected president of the association, and supported by the vice president, explains the reasons for the initiative Pasquale Di Sapio and the secretary Armando Galdy. «Since 22 January 2024, Italian farmers and breeders without any association in the agricultural sector and, above all, without any political figure at their side», recalls the agricultural operator, «have taken to the streets with tractors, families and citizens who have embraced the cause of all the problems that involve not only the agricultural sector but the entire supply chain that ends with the products we have on our table today. Those products that until recently were Italian.”
The president says that precisely during those battles, which saw farmers and breeders crossing the whole of Italy with their tractors, the need arose to join forces and found an association that gives the right value to figure of the agricultural entrepreneur, who encourages the development of the sector and “who takes on every request, and then is present not only at institutional tables, but among farmers and for farmers”.
