The Apuan diocese also welcomes the invitation to celebrate the event locally First World Children’s Daythe next May 26th. The day was announced by Pope Francis in the wake of World Youth Day and announced “with joy” at the Angelus on December 8th. The event, which will be held in Rome at the Olympic Stadium on 25 and 26 May, will have three different routes, spiritual, solidarity and cultural, which will see thousands of boys and girls from all over the world flock to Rome, and is sponsored by the Dicastery for Culture and Education which had already offered its patronage to the November 6th event “Let’s learn from boys and girls” which saw the Pope surrounded by 7,500 young people from the five continents.
