The new sports field at the Monti sports center was inaugurated on Saturday afternoon. Now, with everyone’s effort, the field and sports center have been returned to the community.”
Last year’s work on the new swimming pool was important. “Overall, works worth over 2 million euros were carried out – explains Mezzacapo -. The result is impressive in terms of quality and usability, as the first users were already able to verify in the warm months of 2023. This structure is a flagship, it is the first swimming pool built inside a municipal sports facility. A success that is also thanks to the League.”
Mezzacapo concludes: “Other works are underway which will lead to the creation of 3 padel courts and a latest generation covered and multidisciplinary tensile structure, that is to host multiple disciplines and also a regulation synthetic 5-a-side football pitch. All this will make Monti one of the most welcoming areas of the city and above all it will be the new home of sport, thanks to an important investment and the desire of this Administration to focus on the redevelopment of the facilities as has never been done before”.
