VAST. Recently our editorial team published the letter from a tourist on holiday in the city who told his story mishap at the traffic lights of Vasto Marina “for an offense never committed”(Laws).
The report reached the mayor of Vasto Francesco Menna who responded thus:
“Dearest,
after reading your report, I instructed the Vasto municipal police command to verify what you stated.
If you have received a fine for running a green light, the same will be the case canceled and you will be refunded of what was paid.
In that case it will also be my concern invite you to the town hall and apologize for what happened.
In fact, always trusting in good faithit is my fervent hope that the complaint is well founded, thus avoiding actions by the municipality to protect the good name and image and always cultivating maximum collaboration and affection for citizens and tourists.
