Over 400 delegates from the Pro Loco in Caserta, for the EPLI assembly

The Italian Pro Loco Association Association Network has promoted a meeting with the world of Italian pro locos. Also present Giuseppe Rauso as vice president of CSV Asso.Vo.Ce. ETS, also present on behalf of CSVnet, with which EPLI signed a memorandum of understanding last year.

CASERTA – On Saturday 11 May, the world of Italian pro loco met at the provincial auditorium of Caserta, in an Assembly that welcomed Presidential Delegates from all over Italy and strengthened, even further, the entire “Italian pro loco system ” to achieve sustainable and growth objectives for communities.

Over 400 delegates from all over Italy were present at the National Assembly called by the Italian Pro Loco Association Association Network. At the opening of the meeting, greetings from the Regional President of Epli Campania, Francesco Delle Curti. After the National Anthem, institutional greetings from the Mayor of Caserta and President of Anci Campania Carlo Marino followed by the Provincial Councilor Massimo Russo representing the President of the Province of Caserta Giorgio Magliocca.

The proceedings were opened by a very important debate entitled: “New times for localism in the beautiful country. The pro loco: custodians of stories and promoters of ideas” moderated by the President of the Pro Loco Nino Marcuccio di Caiazzo Maria Grazia Fiore with the presence of the President of the Province of Caserta Giorgio Magliocca, Carlo Marino Mayor of Caserta and President of Anci Campania, Vincenzo Luciano National Vice President Uncem, Giuseppe Sommese Councilor of the Campania Region, Tourism Councilor of the Campania Region Felice Casucci, Silvia Losco Director of the Department of Universal Civil Service, Giuseppe Rauso Vice-President of CSV ASSO.VO.CE. ETS also intervened on behalf of CSVnet, Daniele Antoniozzi CEV Councilor European Volunteer Center in Brussels.

At the end of the debate the Honourable Gerolamo Cangiano and the EPLI National President Pasquale Ciurleo.

During the final speech, the National President Ciurleo Pasquale wanted to underline how Ente Pro Loco Italiane has changed the way of doing pro loco through an ongoing professionalization action of the entire system.

This, for the National President, is the perfect moment to inform all the delegates and volunteers of the official entry of the organization into the CEV – European Volunteer Center based in Brussels, of the establishment of a new Quality Mark on “Pietà and cult popular” which completes the range of official recognitions to affiliated bodies on the importance of promoting the identity of Italian communities and the official launch of the “Magazine In Italy” which will be available on all Italian newsstands.

In the afternoon until the evening all the Presidents of the Pro Loco, as delegates, discussed the future of the system, laying the foundations for improving their actions in the territories.

The initiative was sponsored by numerous bodies: the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, the Italian National Commission for UNESCO, the Campania Region, the Province of Caserta, the Municipality of Caserta, the Anci Campania, the Italian National Tourism Association ENIT, UNCEM, National Union of Mountain Municipalities and Communities, the Service Center for National Volunteering and the bodies responsible for the Universal Civil Service Promozione Italia APS and Solidarietà Cervinese.
