Masterpiece by Pecco Bagnaia who wins the Spanish GP ahead of Marc Marquez, home idol. The Ducati world champion rider preceded the Pramac Spaniard after a long duel made up of overtaking and counter-overtaking. Third Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati Vr46). Jorge Martin crashed with 15 laps to go. Alex Marquez fourth, followed by Bastianini, Binder, Di Giannantonio, Oliveira, Vinales and Acosta.
Aggressive start by Pecco Bagnaia who, having started in seventh position, after one lap took the lead ahead of Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez with a double overtaking. The world champion therefore immediately took great risks, after a long braking he gave up the lead position to Martin, but was immediately chased by the Turin driver with whom he began a long braking challenge. 15 laps from the finish line, the world championship leader slips, paying for the pressure put on by Bagnaia who, after a few laps, has to face the chase from Marquez, who was able to take advantage of a long corner from Bezzecchi. Jerez de La Frontera becomes a ‘bullfight’, Marquez gets closer to Bagnaia lap after lap: with five laps to go the first duel with the Spaniard who overtakes and Bagnaia who achieves the counter-overtaking after a thrilling ‘swing’, the lap after the same scene and same dynamic. Bagnaia resists, is no longer surprised and wins one of the best victories of his career.
