In the 26th minute Ricciardi escapes into midfield, a hard intervention by Bove who knocks him out: a yellow card.
The match struggled to take off with teams engaged in a tough fight, ball after ball, in the middle of the field. The ball of the game is mainly in the hands of Avellino, Crotone tries to close and restart by setting up play from the defense. Avellino tries but the actions are mostly confusing. In the 2 minutes of injury time Crotone tried to push forward in attack. The first half ends goalless, 0-0.
In the second half, Crotone recalled Vinicius to the bench, sending Kostadinov onto the field. At 56′ first substitution for Avellino: Gori out, Sgarbi in. In the 60th minute, striker Guido Gomez was injured and following an offensive move the striker ended up on the ground due to an injury to his right knee. The striker leaves the field, Comi comes on in his place. The match continues to be played predominantly in midfield. In the 70th minute another substitution for the Irpini with D’Ausilio out and Tito in. The Irpinians also replace Liotti for Russo.

In the 90th minute, a second yellow card for Crotone, a foul by Comi on Rigione and a card for the Crotone attacker.
Six minutes of injury time granted by Mr. Vergaro. Little or nothing happens in extra time. The match ends 1-0, Avellino takes second place. Crotone is ranked in ninth position and will begin its Playoff run away, a single match in Picerno.
