“Mediterranean nutrition science” training course, 50 ECM credits

The training course of the Mediterranean Nutrition Science Academy is aimed at health professionals operating in the area in the nutritional field (biologists, dieticians, doctors). It is also open to young graduates or those undergoing post-graduate training who are approaching the profession of nutritionist. The course, ECM accredited and held by university professors and nutritionists who are experts in the clinical field, aims to train the figure of the local nutritionist as a professional capable of taking charge of the patient who requires dietary therapeutic support, with a view to structuring an extensive collaboration of the Nutritionist with other health professionals operating in the area, such as General Practitioners, Doctors of other specialties, Pharmacists.

Divided into 6 modules, with 30 hours of theoretical-practical lessons and special in-depth seminars on the use of food supplements, the program will address the issues of women’s health in physiology and pathology, cancer patients, gastrointestinal disorders, of cardio-metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors up to mood disorders, also exploring approaches dedicated to primary prevention. The main objective is to deepen the adoption, in the care of patients, of Precision Nutrition based on the principles of the Mediterranean diet and Mediterranean integration, adopting the correct assessment protocols and development of nutritional plans according to the most recent scientific evidence available .
