In the recent edition of Galileo-Festival of Science and Innovationheld in Padua last May 5th, the professors Domenico Prattichizzo And Simone Rossi they won the second edition of the award “Innovation Book of the Year,” for their book The artificial body. Wearable robotics and neurosciencepublished by Raffaello Cortina Editore.

The volume written by the two teachers stood out for the quality of the writing and for the in-depth analysis of the implications of technological innovation. It presents the authors’ latest research results on wearable robotics and its applications to neuroscience, showcasing innovative technologies such as the robotic sixth finger for patients with muros and vibrating anklets for Parkinson’s patients.

Technologies, therefore, which not only assist people with motor disabilities, but also extend human physical capabilities, promising significant improvements in the quality of life.
