TURIN – Until Monday 13 May, Inail is participating in the 36th edition of the Turin International Book Fair, scheduled at the Lingotto Fiere in via Nizza 280, with a stand shared by the Inail and Inps regional directorates of Piedmont dedicated to the presentation of publications , information material, projects and services. The initiative aims to highlight the close collaboration between the two social security bodies, united by the aim of protecting the individual to guarantee a series of constitutionally guaranteed rights. As part of the event, the Institute has planned a series of seminars and workshops focused on safety in the workplace and the reintegration of people with disabilities.
In the first seminar, on Thursday 9 May, the topic of the effectiveness of communication on safety in the workplace in an increasingly technological and “social” world was addressed. At 1pm there was an appointment dedicated to the historical memory of the Institute, with the presentation of a volume that collects the testimonies of the past of quarry and mine workers. In the workshop at 2.30 pm the project “Sport without barriers” was illustrated, which uses a series of videos to talk about the social reintegration of people with work-related disabilities through sport, while at 3.30 pm the new publication on melanoma was presented professional cutaneous treatment from solar radiation, which addresses aspects strictly connected to occupational medicine.
The “made in Inail” events on Friday 10 May will open at 10.30 in the Lisbon Hall of the Congress Center with the presentation of the special issue of the SuperAbile Inail magazine which collects photos and testimonies of people with disabilities who have distinguished themselves in various arts . The program of workshops in the joint Inail-Inps stand, however, will resume at 2.30 pm with a meeting dedicated to the analysis of the trend of accidents and occupational diseases in Piedmont.
With the two seminars on Saturday 11 May it will be possible to take a journey into the past. The first, at 12.00, will in fact talk about the artistic movement of social realism, which at the beginning of the 1880s generated authentic masterpieces linked to the world of work. The second, at 2.00 pm, the little-known social security history of school mutuality, a singular form of social security from the Giolittian era dedicated to Italian primary school children.
The Isi tenders issued by Inail starting from 2010 to encourage the implementation of interventions in the field of health and safety at work, with a total allocation of over two and a half billion euros, are the theme at the center of the workshop scheduled for Sunday 12 May at 11.30 am. The meeting at 2.30 pm, however, will serve to reflect on how cinema can represent accidents at work and communicate the value of prevention.
The only event scheduled for the final day of Monday 13 May is Beyond disability – Beyond disability, a seminar divided into three sessions of 30 minutes each which will start, at 11.30 am, from the history of the Inail Prosthetic Centre, which began over 60 years ago , to continue at 1.00 pm with the description of the prosthetic-rehabilitation management and the local service of the Vigorso di Budrio facility, and conclude at 2.00 pm with some direct testimonies of social and work reintegration after an accident.
