The author from Bergamo Teresa Capezzuto signs her twelfth book, entitled “The mysterious medallion of the East” for girls and boys aged eight and up, accompanied by the bright images created by the illustrator Samantha Spadoni. Published by L’Orto della Cultura in the L’Orto dei Ragazzi series, in eleven chapters it tells an adventurous yellow-tinged story immersed in the four elements of an Indonesian island born from fire and water.

The official presentation is scheduled for Booksellers’ Fair Wednesday 1 May at 4.30pm in the presence of the author, between stories and animation. At the end there is a fun workshop with games, activities and swords, to try your hand at the art of fencing, managed by Marco Smokymaster of the Italian Fencing Federation.

At the center of a fantastic adventure, for Giò and his magical flying sword Ada, among a thousand vicissitudes and twists, in search of a mysterious lost medallion that contains the secret of beautiful fencing. A journey into the four elements of air, water, earth and fire, with tests to overcome and encounters such as with the young dancer Luna and her family. In this work for young readers, values ​​that interpenetrate each other emerge. Friendship, loyalty, love, courage are true chivalrous virtues, which we all dreamed of as children, imagining the future world.

Teresa Capezzuto, born in 1975 in Bergamo where she lives, is an author, literature teacher and journalist. She participates in competitions and literary courses, obtaining mentions and prizes. She is a passionate lover of words and stories, she loves to write poetry, fiction, literature for children and teenagers with originality and a pinch of irony.

His poetry collections Particolare (Genesi Editrice, 2019) and Autentica (Genesi Editrice, 2018). Samantha Spadoni is the artist behind the illustrations that make the pages shine. After studying at the art high school on Via Ripetta in Rome, she took the art world and did everything to make it more colorful.
