THE ARCHITECT AND ARTIST FROM MATESI RINO GAMBELLA HAS DEAD – Casertasera.it

In the quiet of the dawns of Castello del Matese and Lusciano, two communities were enveloped in a veil of mourning. The untimely death of Rino Gambella has cast a shadow of sadness over those who knew and loved him. A man who left an indelible mark not only in the world of architecture, but also in art and in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Rino was not only a successful architect, but also a talented artist. His works, imbued with passion and mastery, adorn the walls of the memory of anyone who had the pleasure of crossing his path. His self-portraits, particularly intense and profound, captured the essence of the loved ones and famous people he admired. Born among the beauties of the Matese mountains, Rino spent his youth breathing the pure air of those places, attending schools of the obligation and subsequently the Liceo Artistico of Cerreto. Here, he cultivated his passion for art, which accompanied him throughout his life. University then took him to Naples, where he studied architecture.

But it was in the world of architecture that Rino truly shone. His works bear his distinctive signature, a perfect combination of creativity and functionality. Each project was a work of art, reflecting his passion for beauty and his dedication to the craft. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Rino left an indelible imprint on the hearts of those who knew him. His kindness, his generous spirit, his contagious smile and his irony have left a void impossible to fill. Friends, family and the community will always remember him with affection and gratitude. Today, as we prepare to say goodbye to him for the last time, we gather around his wife Maria Grimaldi and his son Edoardo, offering them our comfort and support in this moment of profound sadness. The burial ceremony will begin in Lusciano, where Rino was loved and remembered, and will end in Castello del Matese, where he will rest next to his roots, among the mountains he loved so much. At 3.30pm, his final resting place will be in the city cemetery, where his spirit will continue to live in the hearts of those who loved and knew him. Rino Gambella is leaving, but the memory of him will be eternal. May he rest in peace, among the colors and shapes that he loved so much, in the eternity of his masterpieces and in the affection of anyone who was lucky enough to cross his path.
