A new communication has officially arrived from DAZN to its subscribers: fromAugust 1, 2024 the company will turn off the DAZN ZONE channel on digital terrestrial. Initially created with the aim of providing those who had purchased the TIMVISION version of DAZN, this channel had the function of automatically switching to digital if the connection had any stability problems.

This choice is undoubtedly due to the high transmission costs which, we recall, concern two channels. The first is positioned on Cairo Two while the second one on the multiplex DFree. Probably in light of the number of users who have signed up for this agreement with a separate cost of 5 euros per month, the company has decided to eliminate the channel.

DAZN announces: from 1 August 2024 DAZN ZONE goes digital

This is what you can read inside the use present in the section “Help” by DAZN:

Starting from July 2024, customers who use the DAZN Zone channel via digital terrestrial will no longer be charged the amounts relating to the DAZN Zone option on Sky (equal to 5 euros per month in the case of subscriptions made before 7 August 2023 or equal to €7.50 per month in the case of subscriptions made after that date)“.

The company clarifies however that the period of use will remain active until the end of this month of July. Furthermore, there will be no changes for all Sky subscribers who use the service with a satellite decoder:

The digital terrestrial service Zona DAZN on Sky will remain active until July 31, 2024 and users with the Zona DAZN option on Sky and Sky Q decoder via internet and Sky Q without a satellite dish will be able to continue watching the channel until that date. The Zona DAZN service will remain active even after July 31, 2024 for all Sky customers with a satellite decoder and an active TV subscription”.
