The director of episode 3 of season 2 of House of the Dragon confirmed a link with Game of Thrones.

Geeta Vasant Patel has in fact confirmed that the eggs shown in the episode are the ones later given to Daenerys Targaryen.
Rhaenyra orders that her sons Aegon and Viserys be entrusted to her niece Rhaena Targaryen who must keep them safe, also giving the young woman four dragon eggs, three of which seemed already known to the spectators.
The director, interviewed by Mashable, has now confirmed that these are precisely the ones given to Daenerys in Game of Thrones.
Patel stressed:
Those are Daenerys’ eggs. All of us who work on this show are huge Game of Thrones fans, so it was really exciting to shoot that scene.
For now, the producers have not revealed the fate of the fourth egg. House of the Dragon could therefore tell what happens to future dragons in the 200 years that separate them from the moment they arrive in Daenerys’ hands.
The young woman receives them as a gift from Illyrio Mopatis on the occasion of her wedding to Khal Drogo and is told that they come from the Shadowlands beyond Asshai. Over the centuries they would have turned to stone and it is not revealed whether Illyrio had others, whether someone tried to hatch them or if they are from the same brood.
