When the red door of Big Brother closes, for many contestants the most difficult part of the experience begins: understanding what really remains of the relationships born in the spotlight. Stefania Orlando, a former gieffina, interviewed by the Gazzetta di Siena, tells it with sincerity.

Precisely during her interview, Stefania Orlando decided to clarify the ties that survived the reality show and one of the most discussed topics of the television moment. In fact, Stefania has never hidden from the public her ability to distinguish the game from real life, and even today she confirms it not all relationships born in the House were destined to last. Only some, the most special ones, have lasted over time: “After the end of Big Brother I maintained several important relationships. I stayed in touch with Amanda and Luca, I keep in touch with Iago and obviously with Tommaso and Mavi. At my birthday, almost everyone was very nice and I was really pleased about that.”

A passage that has a precise meaning for her, because for her the birthday is a sort of ‘litmus test’: it is a unique and special moment, in which we understand who a friend really is, even far from the dynamics of television and the spotlight.

Yet, Stefania said that she also maintained contact with other people she met during the reality show, a sign that something authentic, despite everything, remained: “I also received good wishes from Jessica and Shaila, with whom we exchange a few messages every now and then. I also maintained a good relationship with Pamela Petrarolo, as well as, of course, with Javier and Helena.”

A selected but heartfelt network of affections, which demonstrates how the experience of Big Brother can leave something true, even if not for everyone.

Finally, the former gieffina also addressed a current but particularly complex topic: the case involving Alfonso Signorini. In this regard, Orlando chose to answer the interviewers’ questions using a measured tone and remembering first of all the human and professional bond that unites them for years: “I have known Alfonso for more than 20 years, I worked together for a season on I fatti voi, with the great Fabrizio Frizzi. I had a wonderful relationship with him and on a human level I’m sorry for all the shitstorm that is coming at him.”

His words become like this an invitation to responsibility and respect for the rules. Stefania chooses to rely on institutions and justice, drawing a clear line between what is up to the courts and what, however, should never turn into a public trial on social media. His thought is direct and unambiguous: It is right that the prosecutor’s office carries out its investigations and it is right that anyone who made a mistake should pay. Just as all this shame that he is suffering is not right.” The point, for her, is only one: the trial cannot take place on social media.Trials must be done in court. What is happening on the web, where the sentence has already been issued, is terrible. I only say that justice be done in the most appropriate way.”

Stefania Orlando’s story is that of an experience that goes beyond reality TV: a reality made of real bonds and conscious choices. In fact, his is a lucid and honest point of view, capable of reminding everyone how, even in the spotlight, respect for reality counts.

Speaking of Stefania: here’s the reason why she had to leave the Big Brother House.
