TIGROS celebrates the month of June with a selection of irresistible and limited edition products that enhance the fresh and genuine flavors of this time of year. Here’s what they are.
Velvety soup with peas and ricotta
The Soup of the Month contains all the sweet flavor of peas and the creaminess of ricotta: a perfect recipe for a light dinner or as a first course in a summer menu. Delicious both hot and slightly warm, it can be served plain, with a sprinkling of salted ricotta or – for those who love stronger flavors – with bread sautéed with chilli oil and a grating of pepper.
Tartare with Rosemary and Basil
Tartare is a refined and light dish, ideal for the summer months. The one that TIGROS offers in June is based on Piedmontese fassone meat to which rosemary and basil are added. The result is a combination of fresh and balsamic flavors that make every bite a gourmet experience. Perfect as a starter or main course, the tartare with rosemary and basil is ideal for those looking for a tasty and ready-to-eat recipe. The best way to enhance its flavor is a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, salt and, for those who appreciate fresher tones, a squeeze of lemon. Nothing else.
Delicious skewer
The Skewer of the Month is one of the TIGROS novelties. The June one is the Spiedino Sfizioso: a sausage roll that wraps a pork fillet, with thinly sliced peppers and courgettes. A perfect skewer to be shared with friends and family during a barbecue accompanied with a nice salad of datterini tomatoes and oregano.
Salted Caramel and Peanut Ice Cream
An ice cream with a creamy and irresistible US flavour, which combines praline peanut granola with layers of caramel ripple. An ideal dessert to cool off on hot days, satisfying even the most greedy palates. Excellent in the traditional formula of ice cream drowned in coffee, precisely the one made with the mocha.
Tortelli del Mese Buffalo and Basil
The Pasta of the Month for June lends itself to many combinations: we are talking about tortelli stuffed with a rich combination of buffalo and cow’s milk ricotta flavored with fresh basil. This dish is perfect for a traditional Italian lunch or dinner. Furthermore, it also lends itself to many creative games: try them “alla checca”, that is, seasoned with mozzarella cubes, raw tomato, oil and basil, all cold.
Gnocchi of the Month with Leeks
June gnocchi are enriched by the delicate and sweet flavor of leeks. This dish is a tasty variant of classic gnocchi, perfect for pairing with light vegetable or fish-based sauces. Freshly sautéed prawns in a sauté of shallots and leeks will make an excellent single dish to present to guests.
Pizza of the Month: Feta, Olives and Spinach
The Pizza of the Month for June is a tribute to Mediterranean flavors, arriving from the Greek islands. With feta, olives and spinach, this pizza is an explosion of authentic flavors that brings the scent and flavor of holidays to the table. It is ideal for an evening with friends or, cut into slices, for an aperitif, accompanied with good white wine.
Cherry and Cinnamon Tart
The protagonists of the month’s desserts are various red fruits: starting with a fragrant tart that combines the sweetness of cherries with the spicy scent of cinnamon. This cake is perfect to end a meal with a touch of sweetness, or to be enjoyed with a cup of iced tea in the afternoon. For a fresh and original proposal, place a filter of your favorite cold tea or herbal tea in a jug of water, leaving it in the fridge for about an hour: you will have a tasty, original drink.
Raspberry Croissant of the Month
The Croissant of the Month is filled with a delicious raspberry cream, for a fresh breakfast without sacrificing taste. The combination of buttery puff pastry and fresh raspberry filling makes it irresistible, even for a delicious snack.
Soft Cherry Pan
Finally, let’s talk about the Soft Pan of the Month: a soft and fragrant dessert, ideal for breakfast or a snack. In June it could only be Cherry, to combine the lightness of the dough, enriched with cherry nuggets, with the crunchiness of the icing and granulated sugar covering. A good old lemonade (squeezed lemon, chilled water with plenty of ice and a couple of spoons of sugar) could be an interesting and genuine accompanying drink.
