Conference League, the play-off phase
Fiorentina are preparing for the 2024-25 UEFA Europa Conference League play-offs, set for August 22 and 29, 2025 with home and away matches. Placed in the “league path”, the Viola team will face 37 other teams for a place in the group stage. The draw for the 19 play-off matches will take place on Monday, August 5, while the name of Fiorentina’s opponent will be known on August 15, after the third qualifying round.
Conference League, the new regulation
No team qualifies directly for the final phase; Fiorentina will be one of the 19 seeds. At the moment, only 5 teams are certain to play off, including Fiorentina and Chelsea as seeds, while other teams will be defined after the second qualifying round.
