Serious road accident shortly after 5pm on provincial road 2 Cisterna-Campoleone.
Two cars were involved in the accident, the dynamics of which are still unclear. One of the two cars also overturned. The airbags were activated by the strong impact.
The collision occurred on the provincial road 2, called Campoleone-Cisterna, in the territory under the municipality of Lanuvio, just before the underpass of the railway line, about 2 km from the Campoleone roundabout. This is the point where there is an IP petrol station.
The two cars ended up off the road in the drainage ditch right in front of the gas station. The Fire Department had to intervene to extract the people from inside.
Four people were involved in the accident, including a newborn. The Fire Brigade, who arrived on the scene with the 15/A team, had a hard time extracting the injured, who were then taken to hospitals for treatment.
An air ambulance also intervened to support the transport of the injured. The rescue helicopter managed to land just a few meters from the accident, using the large parking lot of the gas station.
The police were also on site to carry out the necessary investigations.
