Rally FIM…

The Parade of Nations in Città delle Pieve, the many institutions present and the talk The Real Women Challenge to seal the success of the event. In the evening the awards ceremony for the winners

Never-ending emotions on the final day of the FIM Rally. Starting in the morning with the Parade of Nations and ending in the evening with the final awards and the announcement of the winner: Norway. The very country that will organize next year’s edition of the FIM Rally. In the middle, the talk The Real Women Challenge, with the presentation of the new trophy dedicated to the world of women’s motorcycling.

The Parade of Nations – In the morning, over 1,000 participating motorcyclists, representing over 25 European nations and beyond, formed a caravan on their motorcycles that headed from Chianciano Terme, the venue of the event, towards Città della Pieve. And it is here that each nation also crossed the city center on a motorcycle, parading under the now iconic FIM Rally arch. Coloring the splendid historic center of the Tuscan town and pouring enthusiasm into the streets. All in front of a stage set up for institutional thanks and greetings.

The institutions – Many institutions were present, starting with the Mayor of Città della Pieve, Fausto Risini, who thanked the Federmoto for choosing the town that gave birth to the famous painter Perugino (Pietro Vannucci) as part of the FIM Rally. Also present were Senators Erika Stefani, Elena Murelli, Stefano Corti and Emanuele Pellegrini. After thanking them, they recalled their commitments to supporting the motorcycling world, carried out through the Interparliamentary Group for Motorcycle Mobility and the Group for Historic Vehicles. In perfect harmony with the FMI. Also present on stage were the FIM Vice President and FMI President Giovanni Copioli, the Director of the FIM Tourism Commission Nuno Trêpa Leite and the FMI Vice President and Director of the event, Rocco Lopardo. With Trêpa Leite who thanked the FMI for the management and organization of the event and for the many institutional presences. Among the topics discussed, there was also that of sustainability, one of the aspects on which the FMI has focused most for the 2024 FIM Rally. To represent the topic, the Coordinator of the FMI Environment and Off-Road Regulations Commission Giancarlo Strani and Lieutenant Colonel of the Carabinieri Forestali Silvia Biondini spoke on stage.

The Real Women Challenge talk – In the afternoon, Palazzo della Corgna in Città della Pieve hosted a talk dedicated to the world of women’s motorcycling, in which one of the novelties of this edition of the FIM Rally was revealed: The Real Women Challenge award, dedicated to female motorcyclists. The meeting was attended by Senator Stefani, Giovanni Copioli, Nuno Trêpa Leite, Rocco Lopardo, the Head of the FMI Women’s Commission and member of the International Women’s Commission Antonella Martometti and Dr. Alessia Di Francesco, motorcyclist and doctor registered in the list of federal doctors.

The final awards – In the evening, the Palamontepaschi stage hosted the awards ceremony of the 77th FIM Rally, with Norway winning ahead of Sweden and Finland. In addition to their awards, all the other awards were given (see list below).

Nuno Trêpa Leite, Director of the FIM Tourist Commission:
“The FIM Rally in Italy was a great success thanks to the collaboration between the FIM and the FMI. The participants were able to visit wonderful places, appreciate the history and culture of Italy and Tuscany. The 77th edition of the event was memorable, now we are already thinking about next year when we will go to Norway”.

Giovanni Copioli, IMF President:
“I am really excited and proud to have seen all this enthusiasm and participation for what was a very important event for Italy, so thanks to all the participants in the 77th FIM Rally and congratulations to Norway for the victory. We worked at our best with the Municipalities and the various local entities, receiving maximum support, which allowed all the motorcyclists to fully enjoy the beauty of the places involved. I also thank all the institutions present today for their continued support and all the staff who made this event so successful possible”.

Rocco Lopardo, FMI Vice President and Event Director:
“There is so much emotion now that the FIM Rally has come to an end. A great event, on which we worked with passion and commitment. We put our heart and soul into it and wanted to reciprocate the affection that we have received in all these years in the various FIM Rallies around Europe. Seeing so much participation, so much warmth, moved me. The applause received from the FIM Jury delegates made us proud. Congratulations to the winner Norway and thanks so much to all the participants and all the staff. Without them it would not have been possible to organize such a successful event”.
