The two-day private testing program of the Superbike World Championship in Cremona concluded on Thursday, with Alex Lowes being the fastest of the day. However, he did not beat the time set by Toprak Razgatlioglu the previous day.

Only a few teams participated in this test, after others were present a few weeks ago on the circuit which makes its debut on this year’s calendar. Lowes (Kawasaki) was fastest on day two, thanks to a lap time of 1m28.790s set in the final moments of Thursday’s session. He was 0.132s faster than Iker Lecuona (Team HRC), with Axel Bassani (Kawasaki) in third place.

Lowes completed the most kilometers over the two days, with 149 laps. The fastest overall was Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW), with a time of 1m28.578s set on Wednesday. Considering both days, the Turkish driver beat Lowes by 0.212s, also completing 78 laps (he did not race on Thursday).

There were also World Supersport riders on track, with Bahattin Sofuoglu (MV Agusta) setting the fastest time in the category on day two, ahead of teammate Marcel Schrötter. The Turkish rider also set the fastest time ever in Supersport (1m31.866s), surpassing the record set by Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team/Ducati) on Wednesday. The Italian did not race on the second day.
