It now seems destined to last for the entire season the challenge between the two top athletes of the elite 20′ category. The challenge between the two champions who once again put on a show in the final of the 3rd round of the championship was spectacular and exciting Italian Trials Cup held on Saturday 31 May in Tuscany, a Rosignano.

The finale was made even more spectacular because it took place at night, therefore with artificial lights. Still tied after the first two zones (concluded with full points), it is in the third zone that the Lazio athlete manages to extend his lead over his direct opponent and then increase the advantage (in any case by only 40 points) in the subsequent zones. This “healthy” competition is beautiful and certainly stimulating for both, as it manages to make these athletes express themselves in the best ways, as they themselves commented: “If it weren’t for this formula of the final, many of the steps might seem excessive, but it’s so stimulating that it forces us to try.”

Crescenzi, now recovered from the injury immediately in the last test and fresh from the recent (stormy) trip to Arkansas for a C1, he is now able to express himself at his best even on passages of high technical level and danger. The performance of the athlete Marco from the Marche was also excellent Nardinocchi, third on the podium, and winner in the 26′ category. Also in the final was the promising Junior Mattia Maccianti, who performed well in the direct clash with the elite.

In the other categories the winners are: Lorenzo Ambrosini among the Juniors, a discovery Andrea Tenchio among the students, Matteo Grande among the beginners, Renatas Salichovas among the masters.

The two competitions reserved for the categories of numerous very young people were beautiful and hard-fought. On the green course the winner is Matteo Granchi, while on the white one it is Iacopo L’Abbate.

Excellent organization and logistics led by the tireless Massimo Iacoponi, who was able to complete a competition held in the final stages at night, adding a particular charm to this event which has now become a fixed event in a bike park exclusively dedicated to this discipline.

Area used by the national coach Angelo Rocchetti the day after the competition for youth training in preparation for the next world championship (WYG of Sternenfels in Germany) in August in which about fifteen young trialists participated.

Not even time to cool the “engines” because the 4th CIT test in Ardesio (BG) is scheduled for the next WE and we can swear that the challenges will continue.
