Extremely serious accident in the afternoon in Brebbia, where shortly after 5.30pm a car and a motorbike collided on the provincial road. Maria Grazia Brovelli, a 21-year-old girl resident in Angera, lost her life in the accident.

The young woman, who was coming from Monvalle on her motorbike, collided near the petrol station on Sp69 with a Lancia Y coming from the south. On impact she was thrown several meters, ending up in a field on the side of the road.

The rescue was useless provided immediately after the accident by a nurse who was passing by and who tried to resuscitate the young woman, as well as those of the rescuers who arrived in force at the scene of the accident: the girl died instantly. The 44-year-old woman who was driving the car was injured and suffered trauma to her chest and upper limbs but her life is not in danger. She is hospitalized under yellow code at the Circolo di Varese hospital.

Two ambulances from CvA of Angera and SOS of Travedona are on site exits in code red – the one of maximum severity – with the support of the medical car, and the intervention of the air ambulance, which took off from the Como base, was also requested. The Besozzo Fire Brigade and Carabinieri were at the scene of the accident to reconstruct the dynamics of the impact which cost the life of the very young motorcyclist.
