Anelli would have voluntarily taken his own life. The reasons for the suicide are not yet known. The lifeless body of jurist it was found in the internal courtyard of the building where he lived in the center of Milan. The most accepted hypothesis is that he threw himself from the sixth floor of his apartment. The medical examiner ruled out signs of violence and the intervention of third parties. 118 was unable to do anything other than confirm that he had died due to the impact on the ground.

His career

Anelli was in his third term as Rector of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart; he took office in 2013. Author of several monographs and dozens of articles in the field of civil law. He was associate professor of Private Law Institutions at the Faculty of Economics and Business in 1993, and then extraordinary professor in the Faculty of Law of the University of Parma in 1996.
