Triathlon, Lara Lovisi in great form wins in Loano

Many triathletes from Biella engaged in a high-level race in Loano in Liguria and in Mergozzo in the VCO.

The race was valid as the second round of the North West Youth Circuit. Among the men’s Youth B, a decidedly positive performance, with swimming and biking in evidence, for Giacomo Frassati (Valdigne) who finished excellently in 10th place. In the women’s Youth B, a good performance for Costanza Antoniotti (Valdigne) who led until the second change and then retired as a precaution in the final run, in view of the Sprint Triathlon the following day. In the women’s youth A, yet another prestigious placing for Lara Lovisi (Airone Triathlon) who achieved victory by preceding her closest pursuer by a dozen seconds. Also at the finish line were Giulia Ferrari (24th), Caterina Pinna (25th) and Cecilia Melicar (31st), all from Valdigne. Among the YA males, finally 28th Federico Cagnin and 33rd Matteo Micheletti also from Valdigne. In the Girls category, a very positive race for Cecilia Lorenzoni (Valdigne) 7th with three high-level stages, about thirty seconds from the podium. Teammate Martina Cigolini finished 22nd. Among the boys at the foot of the podium was Thomas Zecchini (Valdigne) who finished 5th, 16 seconds from the podium. Finally, among the rookies, in 16th position Dario Brondani (IronBiella), 26th Lorenzo Ramella Pollone (Valdigne), Mirko Jordan Corda, however, was disqualified for an unfortunate mistake on the bike track.

In the overall Sprint Triathlon ranking, 6th place overall for Costanza Antoniotti (Valdigne), 3rd in the Junior category with second overall time in swimming. In 16th position Valentina Frassati (Valdigne), 7th junior. In 19th position Alessandra Degiugno (Valdigne) dominated the M3 category where she won yet another gold. Finally, 37th overall Federica Stangalino (Valdigne) 5th in category S3. In the men’s field, Dario Di Benedetto (IronBiella) won the M6 ​​category. Andrea Ramella Pollone (Valdigne) finishes 11th in the M1 category, while Alberto Belli (Valdigne) is 11th in the M4.

In Mergozzo in the VCO, however, a medium triathlon took place. In 36th place overall, 10th in the S4 category, Andrea Valdani (IronBiella); on the podium the Valdigne Triathlon coach Stefano Massa from Biella, bronze among the M4s (and 57th overall) with a race under the 5 hour mark just 8 minutes behind the winner. In the women’s field, 5th place overall and victory in the S4 category for Laura Ravera (Enrica Soligo), while she finished 9th overall and 2nd in the S4 category Enrica Soligo (IronBiella).
