Friday 24 May in Recco, a meeting for young people on work and European funding

Friday May 24th, at 6 pm in the Council Room of the Municipality of Recco the list Finally Recco organized the meeting “European funds and financing opportunities for young people” aimed mainly at young people to provide them with a general overview of the European Union funding possibilities for starting new businesses.

The meeting will be moderated by Clara Gualco, a veterinary graduate and candidate on the list for Andrea Brunelli Mayor. Paola Angeloni, a psychologist who works at the ASL 4 consultancy, will speak with her and will give a brief overview of the condition of young people and the main problems, highlighting how a municipality can provide support at least in collecting and systematizing all the information and opportunities with the creation of a youth information service.

Dr. Laura Canale, former Director of the Liguria Region for European policies, will answer the questions of the young people present and will illustrate the winning steps for putting together a project and for presenting the candidacy for direct or indirect funds from the Commission. There are many Municipalities that, by joining territorial cooperation projects or other community programs, have benefited from community funding with which they have started interesting experiences such as the shared management of common goods and community projects.

The list Finally Recco believes in young people and in the importance of guaranteeing their answers to their needs, job opportunities, valorising some sectors such as tourism and agriculture but also training to encourage entry into the professional world. For this reason, even in the electoral program of the “Finamente Recco” list, employment policies especially for young people are one of the crucial elements.

The proposals on the list regarding work:

  • Fund and make operational a youth information desk to facilitate access to the world of work, compiling CVs and making job applications. This desk can be useful for seeking regional, national and European funding to start school/work pathways.
  • Organize courses in the Recco area to introduce young people to the world of work and craft courses, workshops for the maintenance of the area in collaboration with supra-municipal bodies.
  • Encourage entry into the world of work by collaborating with the commercial, gastronomic and productive activities of our city in the aforementioned work groups.
  • Operate in synergy with the high schools present in Recco (in particular with the Marco Polo Institute which will move to our city) to carry out insertion paths into the world of work in our gastronomic and accommodation facilities. Final objectives: increase attention to insertion into the world of work, possibly encouraging the creation of new job opportunities in the area.
