n the occasion of Milan Arch Week 2024, Massimo Roj, Founding partner and CEO of Progetto Cmr, a company specializing in integrated design which in 2024 celebrates 30 years of activity, is a speaker at the conference ‘(A new) Torre Velasca? The Milanese skyscrapers between history and project’, and will take part in the round table ‘What future for post-war tall buildings in Milan’. Appointment on Wednesday 22 May from 4.30pm at the Triennale to reflect on the fragility and value of these icons of the contemporary urban landscape which need protection and valorisation.

THE CASE OF THE GARIBALDI TOWERS
Architect Roj, with the moderation of Professor Francesca Albani of the Polytechnic of Milan, will present the case of the intervention on the Garibaldi Towers, completed in 2013, which transformed an obsolete 1980s complex into the first Italian ‘green towers’ . The restyling of Progetto Cmr has allowed the construction of buildings, with 23 floors each, designed according to eco-sustainable criteria thanks to solar and photovoltaic panels, natural ventilation, interactive facades and bioclimatic greenhouses at
each floor.
