Sorano (Grosseto). He officially appeared before the notary, the Maltese lawyer, the “Terre del Tufo” Consortium based in Sorano, promoted by the Municipality of Sorano and the founders.

The Consortium

The aims of the Consortium are primarily to enhance the cultivations carried out in the tufaceous territories, in particular in the Municipalities of Sorano and surrounding areas, to guarantee, through the brand, adequate remuneration to the producer and the origin and quality of the product to the final consumer. .

The Consortium aims, through the production of quality agricultural products, to enhance the territory and its economy at the same time, thus ensuring an important symbiosis.

The statute provides, among other things, that the Consortium can, directly or through structures appointed by it, carry out checks, analyzes and investigations to ascertain the achievement of the consortium’s objectives, as well as for the protection, valorisation and development of the productions referred to it.

The Consortium’s activity is aimed at production of cereals, legumes and oil.

The eleven founding members cover the entire food supply chain, of which eight are organic production companies, two are catering businesses and one service company.

President of the Consortium was elected unanimously Francesca Scalabrelli.

The board of directors includes the vice president Rossano Nucci and the councilors Angelo Nucci, Roberta Morettoni, Paolo Garuglieri.
