OSIMO – San Biagio wins on Piano San Lazzaro and remains in command with 90 minutes left in the championship. Everything will be decided on the last day, given the simultaneous victory of FC Osimo. The match against the great former Danilo Tacchi was decided at the dawn of the first half by a penalty from Antinori, won by Maletesta, put on goal by Binci and knocked down by Napolitano. Already in the first half the red and whites had come close to scoring on several occasions: in the 6th minute Quercetti dribbles past two markers and shoots wide at the far post, in the 11th minute Malatesta steals the ball at the limit, kicks diagonally but the goalkeeper gets ahead, in the 16th Baldoni’s shot from the left hits the near post but Gatto blocks it again. Il Piano defends itself in an orderly manner but is unable to pose a threat up front, despite Lataoui being in great spirit on the right. In the 33rd minute Marchetti tries from the right, but shoots just wide, while in the 44th minute Malatesta serves Quercetti with a backheel who, at the end of a nice personal break, shoots just over the top. Immediately afterwards Giacchetta saw a shot into an empty net blocked by a defender on the line.
At the beginning of the second half immediately the episode that unlocks a race that could have become complicated. San Biagio loosens up and immediately comes close to doubling the lead with a cross from Malatesta which Marchetti barely deflects into an open goal, then Malatesta tries again from the edge but shoots too centrally. The barrage of changes breaks up the game and slows down the pace, also due to the great heat. In the 75th minute Rosini put the post in the mix and on the rebound Bellucci made it 2-0 but the referee disallowed it for offside. However, the second goal came shortly after with a nice personal action by Alessandro Baldoni (photo) who turns from the edge and finds the bottom corner at the far post: a goal from the cinema and an apotheosis in the stands for a 2-0 which closes the match and makes everyone breathe a sigh of relief. For the Piano Lataoui tries with an overhead kick but lacks precision.
