This is the fourth episode of the special broadcast on Italia 1 which tells news stories that have already been discussed previously but adding new details and testimonies. The investigation into Erba massacre happened on December 11, 2006 and it is the “Iene” Antonino Monteleone e Francis Priano which will return to the multiple crime of the town in the province of Como considered “the most atrocious criminal enterprise in the history of the Republic.”

It will talk about one of the most contradictory and at the same time atrocious cases in the modern history of our country. An episode presented by Antonino Monteleone e Francis Priano dedicated to the Erba massacre and titled: “Why Rosa and Olindo can be acquitted”. During the special of Le Iene present: inside we will then analyze the elements that led the investigators to reconsider the guilt of those who until recently were the only ones guilty of the brutal crime that lasted only 15 minutes but was of an unheard of ferocity. In fact, 17 years after the conviction of Rosa Bazzi and Olindo Romanothe Court of Appeal of Brescia has admitted the appeal presented by their lawyers. So on July 10 there will be a decision on the request for review of the conviction.
The Erba massacre and the sentencing of Rosa and Olindo, what happened
On that 11th of December, almost eighteen years ago, they were brutally killed with knives and clubs in their homes. Rosa e Olindo described as “the monsters next door” were convicted by twenty-six judges and their motive was condominium disputes. He was a street cleaner and she was a cleaner, both initially professed to be “strangers to the facts” then confessed and later recanted. They still declare themselves innocent today.
