AI PC Week could not have been such without the announcement of Microsoft, a company that more than any other is pushing the accelerator of artificial intelligence.
The Redmond giant has officially presented the new ones Copilot+ devices: in addition to this new standard, which will accompany laptops from all manufacturers, Microsoft has unveiled new ones Surface Pro And Surface Laptops, equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite SoC and obviously designed to make the most of AI. Here are all the details.

Microsoft Copilot+ PC

New PCs with advanced AI capabilities and equipped with the latest hardware components will be called, from now on, Copilot + PC. The work carried out by Microsoft in recent years is in fact leading to an increasingly pervasive integration of artificial intelligence within Windows 11 and in the coming months Copilot will appear directly in the operating system settings, even if at the moment it is not clear which scope.
Copilot will also be integrated into Windows Explorer, notifications and will rely on the GPT-4o engine, with features dedicated even to gaming: in this case the AI ​​will be able to provide indications and suggestions to the players.

In terms of specifications, the new “standard” PC Copilot+ includes at least 16 GB of RAM, mandatory SSD and NPU of at least 40 TOPS: in short, the threshold stands at the Snapdragon X family and the most recent Intel and AMD processors.

Surface Pro and Surface Laptop

To inaugurate the new format, Microsoft presented the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop devices with Snapdragon
Surface Pro it will be available in two versions with Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon Double version also for the display, available in 13 inches with OLED PixelSense Flow technology, 2880 x 1920 resolution with refresh rate up to 120 Hz, multi-touch up to 10 points and support for HDR and Dolby Vision, or in the IPS PixelSense Flow variant with the same characteristics.
Connectivity is guaranteed by Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, optional 5G and two USB4 ports. The OLED version comes with a 53 Wh battery, while the IPS version stops at 48 Wh, both with declared autonomy of up to 14 hours.

Also Surface Laptops it includes two versions with Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon points and support for HDR and Dolby Vision IQ, or 13.8 inches IPS with 2304 x 1536 pixel resolution and the same features as the previous one.
The available ports are two USB4, one USB-A 3.2 and card reader, while connectivity supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The battery is also double: 54 Wh for the 14 inch and 66 Wh for the 15.

Pre-orders for Surface Pro and Surface Laptop are already open and deliveries are expected starting from June 18th. Both models they start from 1,229 Eurosto reach the 2,529 Euros of the flagship Surface Laptop.
