Lorenzo Carboni’s path ends in the semi-final In the Roland Garros junior tournament. The Sardinian born in 2006 was beaten by the Pole Tomasz Berkieta with the score of 7-6 (3) 4-6 7-6 (4). A battle that lasted almost three hours of play in which Carboni there were no service points to make the difference.
In the first set the first phases are characterized by balance: the Pole is preferred in managing the fundamentals of the serve, while Carboni is more convincing in the maneuver phase. The break for Berkieta comes in the eighth game, but Carboni responds immediately, obtaining the counter-break. It’s all in the tie-break and once again the serve doesn’t help the Italian who has to give in with a score of 7-3.
