The test against time saw the success of the Dutch cross-country skier Pim Ronhaar who covered the distance in 6’20” ahead of the Swiss Bogli by 3″ and Donati, author of an excellent performance. Seventeenth place for Etienne Grimod at 10″.

“I time itsays the Lombard runnerIt’s a specialty that I like and that suits me. The course was short and fast, but I noticed how it was also technical in some corners, so I paid attention to making the best of them. Overall, I got very close to my expected time and was able to run it well. I’m happy with this result and also with having worn the jersey of the best young player.”

“We started very well – says the sports director Marco Milesiall the guys expressed themselves positively in this first time trial, then we know that Donati is particularly skilled in the fight against time. Now we will look for a stage victory and to try to defend the jersey of best youngster.”
