Interviewed in local Trentino newspapers, the General Director of Dolomiti Energia Trentino Andrea Nardelli commented on his team’s season which ended with the defeat in Game 4 against EA7 Emporio Armani Milano: “It was a very positive year. An important aspect to keep the level high is to have clear ideas on what you want to do, from this point of view we have them: we want to valorise the talented young people who come here to Trento to grow, as was the case a year ago by Spagnolo or this year by Ellis and Niang, and at the same time “balance” by also giving space to more experienced basketball players who try to raise their level, as was instead the case for Grazulis or Baldwin. This is a bit of our trademark that we certainly want to maintain for the next and subsequent years.”
Nardelli also commented on the work of coach Paolo Galbiati this year: “Last year we made a choice which was to rely on coach Galbiati and, as also demonstrated by the renewal a few months ago, we are very happy with done it. This both for the type of basketball expressed and for what the public’s response was. In recent months we have gotten to know him more and more from a relational and human point of view, this will undoubtedly also facilitate our work in the summer”.
Will the budget available to the club change for next season? “Ours is a company that works all year round to find new and greater investments. We have demonstrated this throughout our journey, with an ever-increasing number of companies that have joined us. Even if slightly, the budget is destined to increase, because all the different values, whether attendance at matches or results obtained, tell us that the product is valid and interesting. Today our budget is around 5.2 millionwhich would be a figure on the right side of the table: we want to strengthen it gradually but significantly.”
