Lando Norris, injured in Holland, fear among fans for the Formula 1 driver

A week after the excellent second place behind Max Verstappen at the end of the Chinese Grand Prix and a few days before the Miami GP, McLaren driver Lando Norris was the victim of an accident in Holland. In the photos that immediately circulated on social media, the 24-year-old British man with Belgian citizenship appeared with a bandage on his face and a sweatshirt stained with blood. The exact dynamics of the incident are not known but, according to initial rumours, the pilot was hit in the nose by the broken glass of a glass. The English newspaper reported it «Daily Mail» and the «Daily Telegraph»describing the circumstances in which the pilot was injured.

Boat party

On the rest weekend Norris had returned to Holland and was celebrating the traditional in Amsterdam «King’s Day», a national holiday that the Dutch have celebrated since 1885 and which takes place on the birthday of the reigning monarch. In this case April 27th is the date on which re Willem-Alexander he turned 57. A day that saw almost two million people take to the streets, filling the squares and streets of the famous Dutch city. Even the young F1 talent, strictly dressed in orange, had taken part in a party on one of the city’s well-known canals, in the company of the well-known deejay, also originally from the Netherlands, Martin Garrix, with lots of music (and lots of alcohol) on board a crowded and decidedly cheerful boat. At an unspecified moment during the celebrations someone would have thrown or dropped a glass, the splinters of which then hit Norris’s face, injuring his nose. Despite the accident, before which the driver was also celebrating the excellent results obtained at the start of the season, Norris He still appeared smiling, despite the bandage on his face. A fact that suggests minor consequences for a simple cut that shouldn’t even require the use of stitches, with the Englishman therefore expected to be able to race at the weekend during the Miami weekend, from 3 to 5 May.
