The Italian attacking midfielder left the pitch in the 41st minute of Toulouse-La Rochelle and was replaced by Blair Kinghorn
Italy: injury for Ange Capuozzo, Six Nations in doubt? – ph. Sebastiano Pessina
Bad news comes from France for Italy and in particular for Ange Capuozzo. The blue winger from Stade Toulousain suffered an injury in the last Top14 match with La Rochelle, won 60-14.
The former Grenoble attacking midfielder scored a try in the 17th minute and then left the field in the 41st minute for Scotsman Blair Kinghorn. The Garonne club has announced that the player born in 1999 has suffered a fractured finger which will force him to remain out of the playing fields for at least three weeks.

Capuozzo will certainly miss the next championship match against Perpignan and the two Champions Cup matches with Saracens (away) and Sale Sharks (home). Presumably the Italian winger could also remain out of the Top14 match with Pau scheduled for January 24th and return to Ugo Mola’s disposal for January 31st, the day on which Toulouse will face Bayonne.
If the 26-year-old attacking midfielder were to return at the end of January it would be good news for Gonzalo Quesada and for Italy (which will certainly follow the convalescence of Ange Capuozzo) who will make his debut in the 2026 Six Nations on 7 February, in Rome, with Scotland.
