Lavinia, Ottavia, Jiayi and Luca are the first born in Rome in 2026. Blue ribbon in Milan for Filippo

Lavinia, Ottavia, Jiayi and Luca are the first born in 2026 at the Santa Famiglia nursing home in Roma.

At the stroke of midnight, two babies are born at the same time in the facility’s delivery rooms: Lavinia, 3200gr, and Ottavia, 3230gr. Moments later, in another delivery room, Chinese couple Zheng Si and Wu Tingting welcome their second-born Jiayi weighing 3200g. Luca di 3370gr was born next, second son of Concetta Monteleone and Mohamed Mirzaei. Mothers and newborns are all well, assisted by the medical team of the Casa di Cura Santa Famiglia, led by Dr. Luca Cipriano, the operations director Manuela De Fabiis, the midwife in charge of the birth unit Marisa Gianfrancesco and Dr. Matteo Moretti.

For Camilla Carosi and Marco Palombi, 39 and 38 years old, from Colleferro, the birth of little Lavinia represents a moment of profound rebirth. January 1st marks a symbolic date for them, after a complex path to pregnancy and painful family events experienced in previous years. “If you want a miracle to happen, you have to dream about it first,” the couple commented.

Great emotion also for Lavinia Bisceglie and Giovanni Calao, teachers from Cassino, who started the new year with the birth of their second daughter Ottavia. Also celebrating were the Wu family, who arrived from China, and the Monteleone-Mirzaei couple, with the birth of little Luca.

“Being next to a woman who, together with her partner, chooses to give birth to a child is something extraordinary. It is the force that moves the world”, declared Donatella Possemato, director of the Casa di Cura Santa Famiglia, sending a wish to families and a message to young people: “Do not give up on this wonderful journey that is life”.
