Croatia joins the Purl program for arms to Ukraine
Croatia has joined Purl, the NATO initiative which involves the purchase of American armament for Ukraine. The news was reported by the Serbian agency Tanjug, which quotes the Ukrainian portal EuroPravda. Zagreb’s contribution, it should be noted, amounts to approximately 14 million euros.
Zelensky: «200 drones in the night, Moscow brings war into the new year»
Russia is continuing its nearly four-year war “into the new year” with more than 200 drones launched against Ukraine, mostly targeting energy infrastructure. Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky underlines this on social media: “Russia deliberately brings war into the new year, launching over two hundred attack drones against Ukraine overnight,” he declared, adding that “the targets were our energy infrastructure.”
Kremlin: 168 Ukrainian drones intercepted during the night
Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 168 Ukrainian drones in the regions overnight, the Defense Ministry said. This was reported by the Russian agency Tass. “Last night, 168 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems in service: 61 on the territory of the Bryansk region, 25 on the territory of the Krasnodar region, 23 on the territory of the Tula region, 16 on the territory of the Republic of Crimea; 12 over the Moscow region, including nine drones flying towards Moscow; seven on the territory of the Kaluga region; 24 drones were destroyed over the waters of the Sea of Azov,” reads in a note.
