Public lighting maintenance work begins on via Andria – CoratoLive.it

Maintenance work on public lighting on Via Andria will begin in the next few days.

During the works, there may be disruption to traffic due to the narrowing of the roadways and therefore particular attention will need to be paid to temporary signs.

«These interventions, although they may cause inconvenience, are fundamental to improving the quality of life in our city. The updating and maintenance of public lighting infrastructures are essential to guarantee greater road safety and a more welcoming and livable urban environment” say Palazzo di Città.

The works will involve via Andria, from the intersection with via Ettore Fieramosca to the junction with Strada Esterna Corciumi, an important access to the city from Strada Provinciale 231, at the height of the Corato Nord exit. Currently, the public lighting system on this road is inefficient due to its age and past road works.

The project includes: the redevelopment of the public lighting system with LED technology; excavations and restoration of the road surface at crossing points; redevelopment of part of the sidewalks.

“The project, desired by the municipal administration, in response to the needs of the neighborhood and citizens, aims, in fact, to improve the efficiency and reliability of the public lighting system, ensuring its operation in safe conditions and allowing future expansions of the electrical lines. The Municipal Administration thanks the citizens in advance for the collaboration and patience that they will demonstrate during the period of the works, underlining the importance of these interventions for a safer and brighter future” reads the note released by the Municipality.
