A 70-year-old man lost his life after being hit by a cement mixer while riding his bicycle. It happened just before 5.30pm today in Rho, in the hinterland of Milan. The man was walking along Corso Europa when, at the intersection with Via del Maino, he was hit by the heavy vehicle, driven by a 42-year-old.
The cyclist died instantly
The impact left the cyclist with no escape and he died instantly. The 118 Areu health workers intervened on site and were unable to do anything other than confirm his death. The police also intervened to investigate the case.
