Here is therefore the heart of the new ordinance which, in terms of prohibitions, follows the previous one: «Ban on transit for bicycles and pedestrians governed by suitable barriers and danger signs, including at night, along the pedestrian and cycle path on the Tiber River which connects Ponte Pattoli to Ponte San Giovanni”. However, bans will be instituted “progressively in relation to the development of the works”. We will start from the Palazzetti furnace section – urban section of Villa Pitignano with a stop to users for a month, from 17 June to 16 July. It will start a few days after the intervention between the Ponte Felcino bridge area and the Ponte Felcino industrial area: company at work between 24 June and 28 August. The third block concerns the Passo dell’Acqua bridge – Fornace Palazzetti from 9 July to 29 August. The ordinance specifies that “suitable signs indicating the provision” will be placed in all pedestrian and cycle access points leading to sections of the cycle/pedestrian path that are progressively closed.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the new cycle-pedestrian bridge over the Tiber in the area of the Educational Forest of Ponte Felcino, the Municipality announced that thanks to the walkway the cycle-pedestrian traffic context that connects all the hamlets that extend along the Tiber, between Ponte Pattoli and Ponte San Giovanni for a total length of approximately 15 kilometers is completed. The last step now begins, that of affixing horizontal and vertical signs to “guide” users. The ecological mobility network scheme of regional interest has a total of 28.3 kilometers of routes in the Tiber river park alone in the Perugia area, from Ascagnano to Ponte San Giovanni.
