Polling stations reopened, turnout in the province of Cremona higher than the Lombard average

Polling stations open again from 7 this morning for the administrative elections and European. For the latter, in the north-western constituency – which includes the province of Cremona – the turnout at 11pm yesterday was higher than that of the other 4 areas into which Italy is divided: 16.79%. Where the least votes were cast was in island Italy with 10.6%.
The national average stood at 14.6%.
In Lombardy the average was 16.43% and the province of Cremona is among those where the most votes were cast: The 17.66% of those entitled, compared to 18.18% in Lodi where the turnout was the most significant in the region. Sondrio brings up the rear with 14.47%.

Going down to the municipal level, Motta Baluffi the country with the lowest turnout, 6.75%; Pessina the one with the highest, 28.13%, followed by Gerre de Caprioli with 26.68%.

In the capital, Cremona, the electorate has so far preferred to vote for the European elections rather than the municipal elections: the turnout in the first case was 20.3% while in the second it was 19.75, with a difference of half a percentage point.
