Vuelle Here is Petrovic, Slavic soul in the roster

One after another, Vuelle makes its acquisitions official. Today is the day of Danilo Petrovic, a Serbian power forward, but with an Italian background, who grew up in the youth sector of Virtus Bologna. Able to play with his back to the basket, with a great three-point shot, but also a tough defender, he complements well with the athleticism of Eric Lombardi in the spot of 4. Two complementary players, who promise to form a nice pairing.

Excellent connoisseur of the A2 championship, where he played several years, Danilo was born in Serbia, in Vrsac (in the autonomous province of Vojvodina) in ’99. 203 cm tall and weighing 109 kg, his professional career began in 2015 in Italy, after four years spent in the youth team of the V nere: he faced the A2 with the bianconeri, a club where he remained until 2017, winning the Coppa Italia LNP. In 2017/18 he went down to Serie B with the Ortona jersey, but the following year he returned to the second Italian series by accepting the offer of Poderosa Montegranaro. In the summer of 2019 he moved to Forlì, while in the following season he defended the colors of Tramec Cento, traveling at an average of 25′ and 10.9 points per game. 2021/22 sees him again in Emilia, this time in Ferrara while in 2022/23 he returns to Romagna with the Ravenna jersey. Last season he played in Rieti, finishing the regular season in third place and then playing two rounds of promotion playoffs. He also boasts a gold medal won in 2017 in Slovakia with the Serbian Under 18 national team at the European Championships.

“I believe that this opportunity represents a truly important chance for my career and for my growth – says Petrovic -. I feel ready for this new challenge, I consider myself mature enough to achieve important goals. I am truly happy to be part of the Vuelle project, a company that aims to return to the top division and I am eager to get to know the city, the fans and my new teammates and to start working together to begin creating something truly significant”.

This week Vuelle will continue to formalize its latest acquisitions, Lorenzo Bucarelli and Salvatore Parrillo, but the communication of the continuation of the relationship with the sponsor Carpegna Prosciutto should also arrive, which will thus appear on the red and white jerseys for the sixth consecutive year, a small record for the Beretta family. In the meantime Sacripanti went up to the mountains to meet Octavio Maretto, busy with the Under 20 National team of coach Galbiati, who from 5 to 7 July will participate, in Dommegge di Cadore, in an important tournament with Slovenia, Spain and Greece. It will be the opportunity to see how the boy moves on the field in an international context but also to explain to him in person his role in the team, given that Maretto had already left for Argentina when the club hired Pino.
