A flurry of thefts. Carried out in the space of an hour between the beach and the Costituzione promenade in Riccione. By raiding a hotel and a beach bar. The protagonist of the thefts was a 39-year-old homeless Italian, who was eventually tracked down and arrested by the Carabinieri, thanks also to the intervention of the beach bar owner. The alarm was raised the other morning, around 9:30, at Bagno 100 in Perla Verde. The criminal was noticed while, with a very quick move, he was putting his hands in the beach bar cash register to take away the cash. In total 100 euros, which he tried to put in his pocket but failed. In fact, his incursion did not go unnoticed and the man was chased along the beach by the owner of the bar. The latter in the meantime also alerted the Carabinieri of the Riccione company, who joined the search for the fugitive, remaining in telephone contact with the owner. For a while the 39-year-old managed to disappear, mingling with the bathers and even entering some hotels. In the end, however, he was stopped, in safety, by the military of the Radiomobile section of the Arma. The Carabinieri arrested him for attempted theft. However, he had several objects on him, which had been stolen in the previous hours: a telephone, belonging to a night porter in Rimini, a beauty case and a wallet, stolen from a hotel in Riccione at two separate times, half an hour apart. For this reason, the man was also reported for receiving stolen goods. Part of the stolen goods was delivered to the owners, while yesterday the 39-year-old appeared before the judge in Rimini, where he was tried in a summary trial, defended by the lawyer Christian Guidi. Also in trouble is an Albanian of only 18 years old, arrested red-handed for having sold cocaine and for resisting a public official. Caught by the military while he was delivering a dose to a customer lying in wait in his car, once stopped he was found in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and attacked the carabinieri who were trying to identify him. Defended by the lawyer Giuliano Renzi, yesterday morning he was accompanied to the court in Rimini, where he was tried in a summary trial.
