«Tra il silenzio e il tuono Tour» takes its name from his latest literary work, at the top of the Italian narrative charts. The show, produced by DM Produzioni, in the first part is dedicated to the songs from his latest album «The Infinite», then leaving space for some classics from the singer-songwriter’s repertoire, in a narration that holds together music, words and images.

The epistolary autobiography « has been in bookstores since February 27thBetween silence and thunder“, Vecchioni’s new book published by Einaudi. The title itself is a self-quote from “Call me love again», the autobiographical reference emerges, together with the analysis of the great themes that animate the author’s passion: literature, philosophy, music and cinema.

«”Between Silence and Thunder Tour” – explains the singer-songwriter – it is a great show of songs, images and monologues. The silence belongs to the imagination, to the spirit, to the soul, while the thunder belongs to what I have done and what has been done to me, that is, to the life that pulsates a lot: the only way to calm it is to turn to the spirit. The entire first part of the show, in fact, is played on the latest album and on the characters who have beaten destiny, fought evil, loved life, others and themselves. A recent, new concept of mine emerges, of great love for everything that is done and experienced. The second part of the show, on the other hand, is a kind of return, a look at the past with the songs from before, which show how we arrived at the concept of infinity through particular thoughts on love, on dreams, on existence, on pain, on joy, on happiness. And how then all these little things were recomposed into a single idea, which is that of loving life however it is, beautiful or ugly, because in reality it is always beautiful. It is we who sometimes imagine it in another way».

Roberto Vecchioni is one of the historical fathers of the songwriting in Italy. He lives in Milan, where he was born on June 25, 1943 to Neapolitan parents. Having graduated in ancient literature at the Catholic University of Milan, he remained there for two more years as an assistant of “History of religions”. He was a professor of Greek and Latin for many years, and is currently a lecturer at the IULM University of Milan where he holds the course “Forms of the Contemporaneity of the Ancient”. In his long career he has published 38 albums, from Parabola (1971), which contains Luci a San Siro, to L’infinito (2018). Vecchioni is also the author of essays and literary reviews, and collaborates with the most authoritative national newspapers. Despite his artistic commitments, both musical and editorial, between 2022 and 2023 he translated, in collaboration with the INDA Foundation (National Institute of Ancient Drama), Aeschylus’ Prometheus Bound for the homonymous theatrical performance that debuts on May 11 at the Greek Theater in Syracuse, directed by Leo Muscato. He participated in the 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival on the cover night in duet with Alfa with the song “Dream, boy dream“, from March on digital platforms for Artist First and DM Produzioni.
