GROSSETO – It was a bitter awakening for the volunteers of Cp Grosseto, the hockey club that has its headquarters in the tensile structure on via Mercurio. Vandals during the night tore up the ball that covers the rink, entered inside and cut the flags.
«Yesterday we played a veterans match – he says George Righteousone of the company’s advisors. – then we stopped for a barbecue until midnight. This morning, one of the volunteers went to open the door to water the plants and found this situation».
Giusti is bitter. “There are three gashes at a height of one meter from the ground, on one side and another on another side. But then they entered from a door on the side of the bar. And once inside they threw around some chairs and tore the flags. They didn’t steal anything, it seems that they wanted to damage precisely those sides where there are usually more people and it is more visible.”
“Besides, we take care of the youth sector, so we have children as fans. The flags are being remade and today the Municipality will send workers for an inspection, but the bitterness remains.”
The Municipality should patch up the situation with adhesive strips that are used to repair the awnings of the trucks, waiting, next year, to replace the “balloon”, as it is called, that is the awning; a replacement that was already planned.
