Skating: good results for Skaters Altamura

At the end of the sporting year, Skaters Altamura successfully competed in two important events in the month of June just gone by.

The Bruno Tiezzi National Games edition in Fanano, a town located in the high Modena Apennines, ended with great success on the weekend of June 13/15, with 604 athletes from all over Italy. One of the most anticipated events in the national calendar of speed skating. The 3 athletes from Altamura showed an extraordinary performance despite their first experience: Giorgia Scalera won her heat, as did the athlete Miriana Catello and Francesco Roselli. They all brought home a good ranking, for the national podium they still need some experience at a national level.

The 2nd Jonica Ricambi regional trophy ended on Saturday 22nd June on the San Giorgio Jonico track: all the athletes of Skaters Altamura obtained first places. Managers and coaches declared: “Proud of our athletes considering that in the competition we are always in the minority, we always manage to position ourselves well in the rankings, we can only be happy and above all seeing their performances fills us with hope for the future of this sport”.

The athletes of Skaters Altamura grow in competitive results and continue training, in Matera. It is hoped that the results achieved will be a good omen in the new season, guaranteeing them a suitable place, given the excellent level reached and that will surely grow.
