The new scouting chief is coming: it’s Dario Rossi. He arrives from Bologna

Atalanta has a new scouting chief. It will be operational only in the next few days, but Dario Rossi leaves Bologna – where he occupied the same position – to sign with the Nerazzurri. Son of art – his father is Delio, former coach of Atalanta – he was chosen by the Zingonia club as the next manager.
A place in the Nerazzurri organization chart was vacant since the departure of Lee Congerton who, at least on paper, had a different role but who de facto had also assumed that position. Dario Rossi started in Novara, twelve years ago, before moving to Rome and Milan, before the adventure in Bologna with the former Sartori. He instead succeeds Davide Cangini and Valentino Angeloni.
Dario Rossi has been able to work with several high-caliber managers such as Monchi, at Roma, then Frederic Massara – who had brought him to the Rossoneri in 2019 as a scout – before moving to Bologna two seasons ago. Among others, at the time of Sabatini at Palermo, he had recommended Josip Ilicic: the Slovenian then arrived in Sicily after the recommendation of the new Atalanta manager, net of the direct clash between Ilicic’s Maribor and the Rosanero, convinced by the quality of the playmaker.
His arrival will therefore be an addition to the current organizational chart, with D’Amico as the top figure for the first team, Gatti and Zamagna.
